| This year, we are at a
crossroads in the evolution of our city,
where we have a
clear choice between more of the same or an opportunity to affect
change
that makes government responsive to residents. Lakewood citizens are unhappy with the current administration's push toward making our community bigger, more massive, more congested, and more dangerous. Many of us have who have lived here for years have seen how the charm and uniqueness of Lakewood is being taken away. We've seen how difficult it is to fight our own representatives on issues we care about. We've seen how wishful big-box developments are failing despite tax breaks that have sacrificed our services. We've seen how "experienced" bureaucrats have actually catered to forces working against our community. I am not a career
politician. I speak
only from my heart and my experience as a leader saving Forsberg Park
from development.

I value this community, have successfully fought hard to protect our land assets, and feel it's time Lakewood citizens have a say in how things are changing around them. It's important we elect people to office who share our values. |
